why can't there be more variety of chef programmes at the weekend instead of loads of Bourdoni bloke ,Rick stein, Heavens kitchen all those people who cook strange food anyway, what about more home cooking shows like Mary Berry,Sophie Grigson, Rachel Allen,Tamsin and Nigella. at least they cook normal food that amature family cooks like me can manage.

They could have put a stack of progarams with Irish chefs like Richar Corrigan,Rachel Allen,Paul Rankin,Clodagh Mckenna and even Tamsin who has some Irish in her. What has an English fop,s kitchen got to to do with St Patricks Day? Cheeky

I know everyone has been knocking supermarkets, but they are popular because they can cater for all budgets and they also create vaulable employement for all people of all ages, local shops are important to the communites they serve especially if when they support local producers but their prices can be beyond many budgets and I agree when the tv chefs use expensive organic and free range products they should be more sensitve to people on restricted budgets. Ready Steady cook ingredeints are often brought from a supermarket and show you different ways people can use them.

I enjoyed watching full on food too. The BBC have got the quality and entertaing balance,so why has GFL slid a bit and why is uncut not so entertaing?GFL I think miss the celeb guest sometimes, partner guest chef for jenni to banter with.

slow cookers are also good for slow cooking lamb and beef, i seal them in a hot fry pan first them cook over night and then witch off in morning, let get really cold,so better to slice then reheat in a Lamb or Beef stock, the meat is nice and tender and hardly shrinks in size. I have had my slow cooker for 16 years and still using it for that purpose. stews are also lovley too.

some people may be sensitive to dairy products thats a fact and some are sensitve to other things like nuts, that does not mean the rest of the population should be denied these products. and organic products if they really are can be very expensive especially to people on tight budgets.

I found a sixteeth Edition of BeRo recipes at a car boot sale last year, boot sale and old books shops, charity shops etc are brilliant places for finding real gems.

Why can,t they put the Birmingham Food Show on TV for the most of us who can,t travel to see them . GFL could do A Location show there for the duration of the show,so we can see some of the great chefs in action.

They are putting in white flour for that plastic stuff,so you can choose which types you want to eat. and then there is the question of who needs to have a good chance to grow and thrive, a child or an elderly person.

I like the celebrity chat especially to interesting people like the opera group yesturday. It was what made the show so much more entertaining and Jenny has a lovely personality to make people feel relaxed and make them seem more interesting.
