A bit late in replying, just saw your post now. If you will get the money back when you sell it then it is worth every penny. Ask an estate agents' opinion, anything that gives you extra space, is worth it!

It depends if you like dado rails. It you have very high ceilings than I think its better to leave them in. It breaks your walls up a bit. If you don't like dusting, I think they are a dust collector, myself. If you paint them the right colour to cordinate with the rest of the colour scheme, then they can look very nice.

Anyone watching this prog, very simple recipes to follow. Chocoholics galore!
Marinara sauce is mentioned quite a lot, what is the version over here?

Like the new series of Barefoot Contessa, isn't she supposed to be having a new kitchen built?

Thank you for that advice, I want to paint my doors too. I would like the grain of the wood to show through, though!

Ferran it probably tastes great, but I have a life, your recipe takes too long. Prefer the simpler version. Smile

I think that as well, if you think about all the starving people in Africa, you would try and spend a little less. Why do we have to save all year round just for one day. Its ridiculous all the money that is spent for one day, now there is a credit crunch people might not be so extravagant. Christmas is for, bla bla bla, don't get me started on this subject again please! Big Grin

We has a good crop of broad beans this year. I wish I saw your recipe for the dip first Mrs Woof Woof. Another way we cooked ours was, with pasta. Pasta and broad beans in an oil and parsley and garlic sauce. All gone now back to the frozen ones now. Hug

She makes everything look easy. Jefferey seems to be at work all the time though. He needs to get a local job so he can be with his missus more.
