Pocket Battleship-completelyagree: Tana & TPB so smug they set your teeth on edge & I can only think the former owes her rather dubious claim to fame to hubbie, as a chef she is not ,whereas TPB's sole redeeming feature is that he is a chilliholic much like myself. Ditto other 'posters'-Matthew Fort's credibility has been flushed down the toilet by this diastrous move & as for Matt-I can only reiterate what I said previously ie. he couldn't present his way out of a paper bag.All in all-terrible terrible programme-the sooner it is taken off the air is not too soon in my opinion. Am totally staggered by the unfathomable logic behind TV bosses' decision to axe GFL & the wonderful Jeni (who, let's face it IS GFL) in favour of the utter drivel filling its slot. None of the presenters could present their way out of a paper bag & certainly none of them (except Matthew Fort) have sufficient gravitas to be taken seriously as true blue died in the wool foodies. OK bosses, you've had your April Fools joke-let's forget all this nonsense now & bring Jeni back. Am willing to bet that your current viewing figures for the once revered lunchtime slot are now absolutely minimal - I for one am treating it now as if it doesn't exist.

Have come across a Jo' Pratt recipe for a great sounding cake containing malted milk powder in both cake & filling. WHAT IS IT??? I can't think it's Horlicks which is what I always believed malted milk powder to be. Can anyone enlighten me??

Had a fantastic piece of cake at a garden centre (??!!) recently which was like a toffee flavoured Victoria Sponge with apple pieces in it with a gorgeous toffee butter icing. Have tried to find a similar recipe without any success. Has anyone got any ideas at all??

Hi, Sarahlee !
Cadbury's Caramel Cake was in an Easter issue as an alternative Easter cake approx. 4 years ago & the Parker House rolls I know featured on the front cover of 1 of the mags sort of all joined together in a plait shape approx. 6-7 years ago- I think ! If you can find them I'd be very grateful. Thank you !

Recipes for both of these have appeared in BBC Good Food magazine in the dim & distant past but despite having collected all issues from day 1, due to a recent move, inadverdently offloaded crucial copies ! Can anyone help??
