I either cut the stalks a little and put in water on the windowsill in kitchen or keep in a sandwich container with a little wet kitchen towel in the fridge - most can be frozen on a baking tray and then popped into bags and kept in freezer not quite as good as fresh but I find they work quite well!!!

If you have a food market close by then you will probably find that's the cheapest way to buy them HTH Keep up the cooking !!!

I think if Ms Wynnie is who she says that she is then I, for one, would love to see her on the TV again.

Good luck again Ms Wynnie !!!!!!!!!!! Big Grin

New to this so please bear with me! We used to have the best apple cake that my Nanny used to make - although I inherited all her cook books I can not find the recipe as I think it was a hand wriiten one. I have tried so many searches but nothing seems right. It was a moist cake and the mix was almost a dough with lots of uncooked apple and sultanas and brown sugar on the top. It was cooked in a sandwich tin. My nanny used to call it Dorset Apple cake but as mentioned none of the recipes I can find are right! Please can anyone help me??????

I love tv about all types of food and cookery and STILL miss GFL and Jenni after all this time. I have tried to persevere with MK but alas have just about given up! Thanks for the info about Sky channel 0177.
Surely if enough people demand GFL back someone must listen - UK\TVFOOD might even get some viewers back!!!! Big Grin
