alc28 the best retro books I have is the complete set of Time Life The Good Cook series, fabulous recipes and wonderful instruction. They are long out of print but still available in second hand shops. I also have a colletion of nearly 600 books, collected over many years, but I think Nigel Slaters are the best loved by the whole family

I saw on Rosemary's web site that she has been invited to do a new series for UKTV food, is there any more info on this new series, and when is it going to air?
Also is Castel Cook going to be re-broadcast at some stage?

If you are looking for the programs from his TV show, buy the book that went with the series, Nigel Slaters Real Food, I had the same problem, I love his food, but the book is supurb, and I also sucumbed to the temptation and bought Appetite at the same time (love those buy one get one half price special offers!) Livewire is correct if you search the Observer site, I have hundreds of files if recipes copied from there. Watch out for each months Observer Food Monthly as well.

Add some English Mustard, it enhances the flavour of the cheese and does not taste "mustardy"
