Sophie Grigson
Daughter of legendary food writer Jane, Sophie Grigson has become a best-selling cookery writer and household name in her own right.
With fresh food as their cornerstone, Sophie's recipes aren't just delicious and inspirational - they're simple, trustworthy dishes that you can prepare with confidence.
Sophie was drawn into the world of cookery through an interest in ethnic food shops. Soon she was starting to create her own recipes and writing food articles, inspired by her mother. She has gone on to contribute recipes and columns for national newspapers, present and appear on numerous TV series and of course write very successful cookery books in her own inimitable, accessible style.
Sophie's TV career began in 1993 with the twelve part series Grow Your Greens, Eat Your Greens for Channel 4. In 2001 she won the Guild of Food Writers Cookery Journalist Award for writing in Country Living magazine.
Sophie continues to write regular features and recipes for Waitrose Food Illustrated, BBC Good Food, the Independent on Sunday and the London Evening Standard.
Her TV career continues to flourish with Grigson, Sophie Grigson's Herbs, Sophie Grigson's Weekends and Sophie's Sunshine Food all showing on UKTV Food. Sophie is also a regular and valued guest on Great Food Live.
Sophie has two children and lives in Oxford.
