I have an allotment and I was just wondering if anyone knew how to tell when Garlic was ready to be picked.

Garlic is ready to harvest when the flower starts to deteriorate and the plant starts to turn yellow.

Thanks rosti that's helped me as well, i have garlic growing in several of my window boxes, when i planted them i threw away the instructions saying when to harvest (I'm so stupid sometimes )
