Hi,
I tried to watch Tenko when it was first on TV, but with 2 young kids you don't get much chance to watch any TV. I have Sky+ and it is on series link and record for every episode of Tenko. I really enjoy the show and I think the acting is very good. It would be nice to see the actors that were in Tenko, as they are now. Keep entertaining us, UK Drama is one of my favourite UKTV's.

Tenko has today 2nd October started on UKTV history for fans of this show who have to work in the day these episodes are being shown at 10pm and 11pm respectively. I will of course be rewatching.
Tenko the reunion is on October 13 at 3:00PM and 4:00PM reshown on the following day at 9:00AM and 10:00PM . I seem to remember that there was a further reunion made after the five year one in Singapore, this one was held after a further 5 years at Marion Jefferies house at christmas where everyone and everything is caught up on as to where they are and what they are doing, does any one know of this further episode??

Blanche and Verna died either when the camp was bombed or in the new camp. At the start of series 3 they showed their graves.

Well tandy2, Due to high production costs only the first two episodes of the series were flimed on the location in Singapore. The majority of the series set in the camp, was filmed in a specially constructed set in Dorest. Wink

Homely- the reunion at Marion's house at Christmas happens at the end of the 2nd episode of The Reunion. Those scenes always reduce me to tears. It's so poignant that such wonderful friendships were born out of so much suffering. I love Tenko and have done so since it was first shown. The Spice Girls claim they had girl power- they had nothing compared to these characters!

BTW, Tenko is being shown in the evenings on UK History. I found that out myself the other day!

I love Tenko but can you stop the announcer talking over the last 30 seconds of the programme you cannot hear what is going on it is very annoying. You could at least wait to advertise other programmes when the previous one is finished.

I agree femjh! Will the announcer PLEASE stop talking over the last moments of the programme! Do we have to spell out how annoying, inconsiderate and inconvenient it is?

They did it again today Angry Come on guys give it a rest! We don't want to hear voice overs during the closing minutes of a show. It is soooo annoying and it isnt going to make us want to stay watching the show your announcing if you are spoiling the one we are currently watching in this way does it...

1. Totally agree re. the announcer talking over the final moments, hopefully look forward to next week and it stopping

2. General question re. Tenko ; I notice form a few web sites that the programmes were originally 60 mins long ? The current transmissions are about 3/4 hour. Anyone know why ?

Great choice to broadcast though.

The programmes are edited. I first noticed this in series 2 where there are scenes that I remember from the first time I watched it and which aren't there now! I've noticed even more in series 3. But I notice a lot of programmes on UK Gold are edited too; Eastenders and Dallas to name but 2. It's blooming annoying and spoils the story.
