I've done a few of Rays courses, spent time with him in Arctic Sweden. I've found him to be a tireless and absorbing teacher, totally generous in passing on his immense knowledge and wealth of experience. The man loves teaching others about the natural world around them ,and how to live in it in the most low impact way possible, and takes the greatest satisfaction and patience in his students education and achievements. A truly great Englishman, his respect for nature is boundless. The world is a better place for having him in it.

It would be so cool to do one of Ray Mears courses, a real privilege to recieve such hands-on knowledge. He is actually doing a bit of touring at the moment, at various places, to tell audiences about his experiences over the past 15 years. He seems like such a genuinely kind and modest man who just wants to pass on his knowledge and help other people. Smile
