This series seems, as endless as LOTSW, or OFAH. (OFAH What?) The phrase has never been finished.

It also implies, that we should be grateful. We did not invite any of these invaders, including The Romans. The series features only white skinned presenters, hardly representative of a mulicultural society. Adam Hart-Davis, is always watchable though.

It is interesting to see, that in OTT, and violent dramas like I Claudius, all the actors, looked fair, and spoke perfect English. Latin was the main language then. I noticed the same disparity, when seeing the brutal Ben Hur, in Paris. All the actors spoke perfect French. Wink

History is endless.
Human ingenuity is endless.

We don't necessarily have to be grateful for everything that previous generations and cultures have developed, we could do without taxation for a start, but it is worth knowing where all sorts of everyday things that we take for granted originated. Even if we only use them in a pub-quiz or in the annual Christmas day outing of Trivial pursit !

Its a worthwhile series.

I rest my case !
