Please can we have episodes of shooting stars on Dave!

I know Challenge are beginning to show them BUT Challenge tv isn't on freeview!!

Signed Lil Han Han

By the way, they might be listening...

There's "new" episodes of Who's Line is it Anyway? (Well not new; but you know what I mean *shrugs* ) although that might be because, it's not really Christmas anymore and they're actually back at work...

Like madhatter90 said, it's in the tv listings so don't worry... (I've just checked in the tele mag and it's definitely on). ^^

I got no signal last night and then when my freeview box rescanned it was on channel 804!?!

I missed QI and Mock the week last night, I was not pleased... Cry

(By the way, I've only read a little of the first post/message, because when I click on the topic it doesn't show up Confused )

I liked it when it was first on tv (in 1998...ish), but to be honest it's not really interesting now.

I don't mind watching it when there's nothing on though... Embarrassed

Please put it back on because, it's awesome...and it's way better than some of your shows, like dragon's den. (Why is it on twice in the evening, on Thursday? It's quite annoying Cheeky ).

SabakuSands- According to my tv mag, Whose Line as moved to 7pm (it says that it's on at 4:30 and then again at 7...) So problem solved Smile

Thanks Dave; I was starting to get scared of some of the demanding people... ^^; Cheeky

SabakuSands- 4 on demand has series 1-9 to download and now you can also stream for free on it's online service, while on the tv service it only has series 4-9 ^_^ (Sorry if it seems like I'm correcting you...I just want to share what I know).

Also thanks Dave; I can't seem to find the dvd anywhere ( It was sold out straight away at my local dvd store >.< ),so thanks for showing it. Smile

I'll let you know about anything else I find out ; I'm always watching stuff on 4od (and way too much Farther Ted Embarrassed ), so if there's anything new I'm sure to find out...

I've never watched series 10 but I've seen the US one and I feel it's too gimmicky (is that even a word...ah well) so I don't really like it, although I've seen series 9 and it does seem that some of the guests seem a bit bored; but that's just my opinion.

Anyway I'm starting to waffle on a bit, so I better stop typing.

Embarrassed

SabakuSands- Wow I totally agree; I've only watched a few episodes of the US version and it does seem that some contestants don't have a chance...

Also you have beaten me on the waffling; congrats! (When I start typing, it's kinda hard to stop ^^; )

Finally, I've just realised that I've spelled Father Ted wrong in my last post >.< (My spelling seems to be getting worse, argh! ).

Whose Line Fan- Like SabakuSands said, if they showed 6 episodes a day the entire series would have finished in less than 3 days (each series has only about 12-19 episodes); so that would mean tons of repeats and then people will start complaining about repeats again. Wink

SabakuSands- I think that Jonathan Pryce is quite funny, do you know how many episodes he's in?

Also it's funny when John Sessions really rambles on although Clive's pressed the buzzer a million times. ^^;

I quite like series 1 so far, especially when a member of the audience shouted a suggestion at the wrong time and when the cameraman did something wrong; little things like that make the series even more funnier. Tongue

eejit1990- It would be cool if they were able to show every series; but remember, they kinda need to buy the license (or something like that...I not sure ^^; ) to be able to show them which can cost quite a lot...

So carry on watching the current series they're showing and hope that, that's shown them that we still want to see all the series'... Wink

(I've rambled on again...whoops Embarrassed )

Whoa, my eyes!
SabakuSands, I actually read all of your post, I think I should give myself a medal hehe...

I quite like John Sessions, especially in QI ( I know wrong show...but what the heck Tongue ) he's good at what he does and he's not afraid to show off! ^^;

My favourite is Josie because she's good at all the games and manages to be kinda flirty with the contestants (she manages to get along with all of them just fine Smile )

Oh, and on a BBC documentary called "TV's Hunger For Radio Comedy",Clive mentions that in Whose Line (I actually didn't know that Whose Line was a radio show...so I wasn't expecting it to show up on this doc ^^; ); he wasn't bothered about the neck jokes because he knew that they were a bit desperate for a laugh when they couldn't really think of anything...he was just happy that he was able to help in a way Wink

Oh and finally...you can play the piano?!? Cool! Smile

Wow this thread is moving fast...SabukuSands I say you're officially "The John Sessions of this thread" Tongue

I knew about the BBC/Channel 4 thing from the documentary...but thanks for informing me ^^ .

It's quite funny that BBC America has the rights to show WL and also BBC 2 has Mock the Week (it's made by the same people...) I don't think the BBC wanted to miss another chance Wink

I've not heard about the interview...what did they say on it?

Sorry if I've missed anything from the previous posts out...it's getting a bit hard to keep up

Embarrassed

It is said that Mock the Week is, Have I Got News For You and Whose Line mixed together...

Really it's a news panel show with games that resemble WL's games(Oh and it's created by Dan Patterson (sp?) ^^; ); it's quite good (I've watch all the episodes so far, it's sounds kinda sad that I can watch so much tele, but heck I'm a teenager ^^; ); there's plenty clips on youtube you can watch too.

Cool I wish I heard the interview, Josie being recognise by hoodies sounds kinda funny...

Quantum007- Where have you heard that from...?

It sounds quite interesting that Virgin 1 has bought it...

SabukuSands-Thanks for informing me about it, I've probably missed it but ah well ^^;

hannahjay and Whose Line Fan!!- You're both still on your easter holidays?!? *waves fist in the air* hehe you're lucky... Tongue

If you really need to watch more WL like I said before you can download 4oD, (I've kinda said that a bit too much now Embarrassed )...

If there was a new series...I don't know who to choose,but I probably won't watch it(I know there's not going to be one anyway); some of my childhood programmes have been ruined or are going to be ruined (dale's supermarket sweep, bull's eye and gladiators for example...)so I don't really want to think about it... ^^;

It's okay you kinda needed to reply to everyone... Smile

Don't worry I get kinda bored too if I watch it so many times...that's why I don't watch it all the time; also I'm glad someone agrees with me on the nostalgia thing, because they try to improve old shows, which isn't always the best idea...^^;

Finally, sorry Dave for mentioning 4oD all the time, but it's kinda hard not to mention it when you're talking about a show which was on that channel! Embarrassed

(Sorry if some of this post doesn't make much sense, I'm eating my dinner at the same time as typing! ).

I don't think that Virgin1 edits shows, but we'll just have to wait and see... Smile
I can't wait to watch it...it's on at 10pm on Tuesday if anyone wants to know Wink

Sorry for the double post, but I've just relised that Virgin1 tends to get it's shows from challenge (takeshi's castle, ninja warrior and gladiators for example) so they're most likely the edited ones.

This may sound obvious, but try rescanning you freeview box; after a few goes it should be okay...

If that doesn't work try Freeview's website and type in your area/postcode to see if it's just your area's reception playing up and which channels you'll have full reception with; I hope this helps... if not I'm sorry that's all I can think of right now. Smile

I found this on wikipedia-

"Due to contractual issues, a number of channels which are available on Freeview will not be available on Freesat. Virgin 1, TMF, The Hits, UKTV History, Dave, Sky Three and Sky Sports News are all available on Freeview but encrypted on digital satellite. Unless these channels also become free-to-air, they will be unavailable on Freesat."

So sadly Dave won't be available on Freesat just yet...
