The very attractive and eloquent lady who was on todays Food Uncut (Friday 13/10/06) giving her expert advice on Chinese ingredients would make a great, natural and informative presenter on one of your food programmes. I think her name was ? Dunlop? Smile

Best thing about Ed Baines is that he can occasionally shut Jeni up so the viewer can understand the method and the "chefs" tips rather than her inane interruptions about something that is often nothing to do with whats happening at the time. She should learn that if she asks a question listen to the answer not interrupt every five seconds an spoil any sort of continuity. If the fault is some director shouting in her ear I apologise and transfer critisism to the backroom "boys". Angry otherwise Smile

Thought the lady who presented the recipe for the Victoria Sponge with Lemon Curd on tonights (14/2/07)The People's Cookbook would make a great food presenter. Down to earth, easy yet informative style and puts a lot of the so called professionals to shame. Smile She lost the challenge but came out on top as a true natural.

Excellent and very valid point. When they were talking about support by giving a fair price for overseas farmers then you hear of UK farmers being essentialy blackmailed & paid a fraction of the "superstores" selling price for milk, vegetables etc to boost their already excessive profits there is something wrong somewhere!. Angry
Where is the significant, organised support for the UK farmers besides Farmers Markets which is only a small proportion of the sales and demand?. Confused

The new uktv Market Kitchen Programme leaves a lot to be desired and not a patch on Good Food Live and Merrilees show as well- although they too had their comparitively minor shortcomings. I am sure the wrinkles will be smoothed down as time goes on but it all seems a bit jumpy and hyper and not atal relaxing for the viewer to enjoy the the programme. This is not helped by the jumping back and fore between presenters, chefs and audience but what makes it ten times worse is the camera technique. It seems to be a pre-requisite these days than you cannot have a steady camera shot or smooth transfer it has to be at the speed of light or on the move or up someones nose etc. They must all come from the same camera/director school as the same thing is happening with the BBC gardening & cooking programmes - poor show in my opinion and is most annoying. Mad

Well done to Dave and Neil Cole for their coverage of the WRC Monte Carlo Rally. Good mix of interviews, backup and action especially in the limited programme time. Well done and will forgive the Channel title-just!! Wink Big Grin
