Hi,

Can anyone identify the music (or at least the artist) used in the background during GT Racer?

Cheers,

Much of the action is from the driver’s seat, complete with an accompanying soundtrack of V8 or V12 horsepower. However, the quick editing means there are few occasions where a complete lap is shown; and that’s a shame for those needing further scene-setting on little-used circuits such as Porto. When the engine noise or commentary fades, there’s sub-Kraftwerk electronica to accompany the images.

I have spoken to several historic racers and they all agree it truly represents the atmosphere at these events, but the uninitiated – looking for a Goodwood Revival re-run – may be left wanting more.

That’s not what the series is about and, if you can find time to watch GT Racer, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Here is the information about the artist with pleasure. Some of the main tracks are: Control, Traveller, Smile, Chicken Claw, Happiness, Control (Dub Remix), Boy Girl, Control (Märtini Brös. Remix), Eat, Ultrastar, Eight Bars Of Fame...

Hi all, Rob122 you mention that you asked several historic racers that it truly represents the atmosphere at these events which I agree with completely but did they know that a really annoying tune is placed over the top of the footage which I can only describe as someone hitting Demo on a crappy keyboard which could easily be performed by a chimp. I am not taking a pop at you just that I switched it on one Sunday morning and thought this is great in car footage of Portugal's Historic Grand Prix at the Boavista circuit, from inside a cobra hearing the sound of the V8 engine which was great then this monotonous tune comes in that really made me sick after listening to it not changing through the whole programme. What were they thinking? obviously someone that has no idea of these events where the sound of these historic GT Racers make the event and part of the atmosphere. Do you agree?
