The family bathroom was dark, with no natural light, an avocado suite and patterned green tiles from floor to ceiling! It was dark and dreary. My husband prefers doing DIY himself and did the complete makeover, apart from the plastering. We were lucky that we did not have to use the bathroom while he was doing it, so he could take his time (the kids have left home, so we used our ensuite). I think it took about a month from start to finish, but the bathroom now is a real pleasure and we're really pleased with it.
