How to make an envelope cushion cover

You will need...

55cm x 132cm piece of fabric
- Iron on hemming tape
- Sewing machine
- Pins
- Needle and thread
- Buttons and motifs for decorating

Step 1: Create the hems
Iron in 2cm hems on each end of the fabric using the hemming tape. Flap one side of the fabric over and the other side over that. Your fabric should now be 50cm across, the size of your cushion pad.

Step 2: Sew your cushion
Next pin along the line of the fabric and run it through the sewing machine. Go back along the line you've sewn to make sure it is secure. Turn the cushion the right side out.

Step 3: Attach your motif
It's now time to personalise your cushion using whatever you like. Decorative buttons and motifs allow you to encorporate your cushion into your existing scheme.
