DIY expert Craig Phillips demonstrates how to install radiators in your home.
This easy to follow step by step guide shows how to fit brackets onto the radiator so that it can be attached to the wall.
-

Step 1: Measure between the pipe work
Draw a line between your pipe work as a guide. Place your brackets onto the hook on the back of the radiator and with the spirit level between the pipes, measure from the bottom of the bracket to the spirit level. Then, where your first mark is on the wall, transfer the bracket measurement you've just taken to the wall as well.
-

Step 2: Attach the brackets
You can now attach the bracket to the wall, with the bottom of the bracket lining up with the mark you've just made on the wall. Now measure the gap between the brackets on the back of the radiator and transfer that measurement onto the wall so you can attach the second bracket. Check the brackets are level and lift your radiator into the brackets, ensuring it is firmly in place.
-

Step 3: Tighten the pipe work
Once the radiator is in place, it is time to tighten the pipe work. Begin tightening the bolts using your hands and then get a pair of grips to finish tightening the bolts.
