    Hi I'm not sure if this is open to comments but you seem to be asking. If it were mine (and I'm no expert) I would remove the picture rail from the walls, also the wall lights. Have plain painted walls. Remove the clock from the wall and place a large mirror over the fireplace, perhaps by a mantel clock. I'd also have curtains which went to the floor in a contrast colour to the walls, also cushions and rug in the same colour group. Whether you do this or not, your home is for you and what you like... enjoy it!
