Renovation Challenge: The Block (S4)

Weekdays, 7pm, from Mon 27th Feb
Unlike series three, series four of Renovation Challenge: The Block is based in Melbourne and features a new twist – a Masterchef-style elimination process that trims down eight hopeful couples to four, who then go on to start the renovations on their allotted houses. The houses themselves now stand side-by-side as opposed to the apartment block that the couples in series three worked with.
The series starts when the couples race to collect five ‘red houses’ hidden at five different locations throughout the city. Each house is worth $5,000 and goes towards their renovation budget, and the first couple to collect them all wins the right to select any of the other couples’ houses as their own to renovate.
Once the four couple have won through it’s down to the nitty gritty of renovation, and thanks to a series of challenges, the couples learn how to develop their houses as the series goes on.
It’s down to hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, as well as judges John McGrath and Neale Whitaker to help and then grade them every step of the way. With challenges and eliminations, the judges’ views can only go so far – it’s down to the buying public to decide who wins Renovation Challenge: The Block.

Will season 4 of 'the block' be repeated at any stage as we missed it the first time round.
