Nick Knowles' Original Features: Art Deco in London

Radio announcer Gemma King and jazz musician Chris Lowe are a young couple with a unique sense of style; they’re both fanatical about the 20’s and 30’s and even dress in period clothes each and every day.

Nick Knowles visits Chris and Gemma at their iconic modernist apartment building, Taymount Grange, in Forest Hill, London where despite the flat’s modest size and their meagre budget the pair are keen to create their own Art Deco paradise.

Nick reveals some astonishing hidden history about the building and Gemma’s emotions are stirred as she comes face to face with her home’s first lady owner, ‘Dodo’ Davies.
