This 15-part series sees Gordon travels up and down the country to name and shame some of Britain’s Ugliest Rooms, wading through a hideous array of nominations sent in by the public.

From avocado bathroom suites to woodchip wallpaper and tasselled lampshades, all the design crimes you have nightmares about are revealed! Gordon is on a mission to give these aesthetically-challenged rooms the makeover of their lives.

Along the way, Gordon dispenses plenty of DIY dos and don’ts for the budget conscious in the hope that everyone can avoid an ugly room. But at the end of each episode it’s all about the reveal – can Gordon give Britain’s Ugliest Rooms a Cinderalla-style makeover?

    I've just sat through a raft of these 'fabulous' programmes and there isn't a single thing that Gordon has done that I didn't like! Amazing! I wish I knew about this earlier as my bedroom is just BEYOND vile!!!!!!! So ugly ugly UGLY - I hate it - I purposely stay up late so that I am just so tired which means I just go straight in, turn out the light and get into bed - the less I have to look at it, the better. I married a widower and moved into his house - I've managed to change a few things here and there but the bedroom defeats me - swirly purple dog sick carpet, melamine wardrobes with faux gold trims and a revolting sink unit made up of mish mashed mismatching melamine, and a ceiling that is crinkly bubbly and varying shades of stained yellows and browns - I feel like crying everytime I go in there which isn't a good way to start a marriage...! Then I watch one of Gordon's heavenly bedrooms and I sob a bit more! If you are doing another series, how can I find out about putting in an application????? PLEASE!

    I love gordons ideas and would love him to help with my sitting room. It is not the ugliest but i have one long wall which is sitting room/dinning room, i would love colour but i fear it will stand out and overtake the rest of the furnishings
