Craig Phillips has been in the building industry for more than 20 years and became a much-loved TV personality after winning the first series of Big Brother.

After proving such a television success, Craig combined his loveable onscreen persona and building knowledge to become a resident DIY expert on over 850 TV shows including: 60 Minute Makeover, Trading Up and Craig’s Trade Tips. Not forgetting a memorable stint as Avid Merrion’s cupboard hostage in Bo Selecta!

In 2005 Craig set up a national construction academy with seven schools - the largest independent construction training centre in the North-West. An organisation which has since helped over 1000 young people graduate with building qualifications.
