Ty talks... choosing the families

When he's filming EMHE Ty meets a different family with a different story every week. Ty finds selecting the families is the hardest job of all. Receiving over 3,000 tapes per week, means that they have to hire specific people whose responsibility it is to go through all the tapes and pass on their recommendations. Many variables go into choosing the families, including background checks and location consideration. The good news is that they've got many more episodes and series planned so they will still get to many more families in need.

I am not writting for me i am writing for my neice and her family, Ayesha is her name and she is 18 this year, she has special needs and her mum and dad have managed through there teenage years to be there for her, and always want to look after her, The day is coming were they can no longer to this because the house they have is tiny to the point that the bedroom for ayesha is in the living room ayesah was on tv once just to hilight her condition and many like her, she suffers from rets syndrom which is a syndrom were you can have qualities up to the age of 18 months andthen loose them. Alyson and Darren are fantastic parents to Ayesha and when ayesha smiles you just know the connections is great.Ayesha cannot speak drink on her 0wn she is an extention of Alyson she stops breathing in them middle of the night there whole life has been looking after Ayesha and what is worse they can now no longer look after. They have to move a table and chair in there living room to get ~Ayesha dressed, she has no were she can go for privacy and they may have to put her into a home just because they dont have the space, this is our fear the whole family really does not want this to happen, We are all just ordinary people who would love to have a bigger house for Ayesha deserves a little bit of privacy and if you can help. I do alot for charity for Cancer as my dad died of cancer 6 years ago and feels like yesterday but not enough money could give ayesha Alyson and Darren the worry free feeling of looking after there own child. and as a parent the thought of having to let someone else look after you seed is unthinkable. I love esha to bits and she loves me i can tell when she smiles, but only when i have chocolate for her i wish and pray that maybe just maybe someone reads this and maybe they can help my name is liz
