A red kitchen that keeps getting tarted up with quick fixes has finally come to the end of its days - and needs a totally overhaul. The owners want to keep it red so kitchen designer Kerr Drummond comes up with some solutions to keep the colour but ditch the old fashioned feel. This stylish kitchen makeover, is featured on the TV series, Kitchen SOS.

Retro black and red kitchen makeover

The colours are kept but there’s a modern and more spacious feel. Floating shelves, units that open and close and a brushed granite sink instantly add elegance. The area around the old hob is changed with a false wall, more storage and a boxed in boiler that allows a wine cooler beneath it. Dark wood with quartz red is very on trend and works beautifully in this party-loving family’s kitchen.
