Funky kitchen splashbacks can play a big part in transforming a room from dull to dazzling. The days of boring white tiles are long gone - why not brighten up your walls with something a bit more interesting?

Rethink traditional tiles

Think outside the box when laying plain tiles. Try fixing them diagonally to the wall, then for a modern twist, seal with grey or coloured grout instead of white.
