Create an optical illusion with paint

Create a trompe l'oeil effect in your bedroom by painting a striking headboard shape on the wall at the top of your bed. Trace the outline first with pencil and make sure you take as many measurements as possible so it stays symmetrical. Then paint it with two coats of matt emulsion in a bold shade so it contrasts with the bed and bed linen.
