Hanging baskets are a wonderful way of adding instant colour and interest to any garden. That vibrant burst of colour framing the approach to your home makes such a welcoming sight. Contemporary hanging baskets tend to stick to just one plant. Think of a brilliant ball of bushy fuchsia – it packs quite the focal punch. Traditional hanging baskets usually feature an upright centrepiece plant such as geranium, fuchsia or dahlia with a ‘skirt’ of pansies, lobelia, French marigold or bedding plants, along with a trailing species eg lobelia to add depth.
