Parquet flooring

You can't beat the look of a classic parquet floor. Real wood is a quieter choice than laminate and it's warm underfoot so is good for a living room. Just avoid real wood flooring in areas where there is a danger of it getting wet or where there are great changes of temperature, as it can shrink.
