Hi!
I am a big fan of extreme makeovers, be it in the USA or England. But my writing to you now is of a different nature. I have a sister living in Croydon (I live in Norway)and I would like to help her if I could. At the moment I am waiting for a very important transplant and therefore limited to where I can travel or do. My youngest sister has a house in Croydon and when she separated from her first husband due to cruelty and wife beating. She got him removed from the home. Pending divorce and due to the fact that she had 2 small children at the time, she lived in the house. Her movements were watched by this man and one day when she was out of the house, he and his family entered the house and smashed everything they could, pulling out wiring, destroying gas mains, tearing out floor boards, ruining the staircase, in other words everything that they could destroy, they did. This happened over ten years ago and since then my sister has been trying to get the house in shape again, but it has not been easy for her and her family. She of course did not get maintenance from her first husband and he seemed to have vanished from the face of the earth! It has taken them (my sister) almost ten years just to get the bathroom in order but there is still a lot to be done. Now with the recession, both she and her husband (nr 2) lost their jobs and have been unemployed for sometime now. Just recently they have come into jobs but these are part time. So the future at the moment seems somewhat bleak. I would like to do something for them but due to my illness am unable to do anything but I would like to recommend them for a home makeover. That would be something they would like very much to finally get the house in order again. If you could consider this, I would be most grateful. At the time of writing this, my sister does not know of it and so it would be thoughtful if I could be informed if the possiblity was there, so that I could inform her or it has to be done in a very sensitive way. I thank you in anticipation. Regards, Remy-Maria Rodrigues-Lunde Norway
