CENTRAL Belvoir Castle
Belvoir Castle (pronounced "beaver") dates back to Norman times. The present structure was completed in the early 19th century and possesses some of the country's finest interiors. This April is Belvoir's Collections Month. Visiting and in-house experts will give talks and tutored tours of the castle's extensive art, furniture, textiles and military collections. CENTRAL Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon
Every April, around the time of William Shakespeare's birthday, Stratford-upon-Avon hosts a series of events to celebrate the Bard's life and work. Highlights include costumed parades, strolling players and folk dancing. In addition to these street events, you can visit several Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties, including Anne Hathaway's Cottage and the house where William was born.
