Albert Foiret
Albert is the owner of the Cafe Candide and his principal role is deputy to Lisa Colbert helping her with the running of Lifeline, which operates out of Albert's café. A hard man, Albert has killed men in the past to keep Lifeline running yet his life is further complicated by the fact he is married to Andree, an invalid whom he no longer loves. As a result he seeks solace in the arms of his mistress, barmaid Monique Duchamps, but to whom he refuses to fully commit.
Played by Bernard Hepton
A renowned character actor, Hepton is best known for his role as Pallas opposite Derek Jacobi in I Claudius, as well as playing Thomas Cranmer in The Six Wives of Henry VIII.
