Lisa 'Yvette' Colbert
At the centre of the drama is Lisa, who set up Lifeline after the death of her parents. Lisa runs the evasion operation from the Cafe Candide, under the codename 'Yvette' to ensure she cannot be traced. When she is not taking Allied aircrew to safety her cover is working as a nurse at Dr. Keldermans' surgery. Fiercely proud of the operation, Lisa is often reluctant to accept outside help, particularly when assistance is offered from London in the form of the newly-arrived John Curtis.
Played by Jan Francis
After training as a dancer, Francis performed with the Royal Ballet. She then made the transfer to becoming an actress through choreography, and has gone on to be a veteran of British stage and screen, most fondly remembered as Penny opposite Paul Nicholas in sitcom Just Good Friends. She also took regular roles in Staying Lucky, The Long Chase, as well as playing Grace in The Ghostbusters of East Finchley and The Duchess of Duke Street as Irene Baker.Back to Secret Army – cast and characters
