6. Bill Payer’s Permission. If you are not the person or organisation named on the relevant telephone services bill, you must get permission from that person or organisation before voting.
7. Entry Methods.
(i) Text Voting
(1) Entrants may use SMS text entry via a mobile phone on a reverse billed premium rate SMS service, charged on a per message basis. This service operates by delivering content to entrants’ mobiles at a charge above the standard network rate. Entrants will be charged at the standard messaging cost of the relevant network operator for sending the entry. Entrants will then receive a confirmation message acknowledging entry and will be charged £0.50 (fifty pence) for the delivery of this message at a premium rate. (2) Entrants may also enter via SMS text entry with a mobile phone that does not subscribe to an ongoing SMS text messaging service. You will only receive one message in response to each SMS text Vote entry.
Where UKTV uses reverse billed premium rate services we will notify you of the likely charge for receiving such content/message at the point you are invited to submit your text entry. The charge will be between a specified price range depending on your network operator who may also charge an additional standard messaging cost. Please consult your network operator for further details of its standard messaging costs.
SMS text entry entrants must ensure that they have the bill payer’s permission to enter.
Your mobile phone number is not distributed to any other organisation and you will not receive any unrelated texts.
THE MAXIMUM LIKELY COST OF ENTRY IS AS FOLLOWS: £0.50 (Fifty pence) plus your standard text message rate. The total cost is dependent on your network.
Entrants via this method will be able to vote for the 25 properties featured in the "Britain's Best" programme and/or any other historic location of their choice.
