I cannot believe that having been watching the Dallas series over the past few months, that you have stopped showing it. It was the highlight of my evening to sit down every night to relax and watch the episode. It was the talking point next day at work and with friends I met during the day. Please, Please, PLEASE bring it back. Not repeats,, but following on from Cliff in the hospital. Who wants to see Dr Who? We are talking about a top class drama series here. You cannot leave us in suspense Cry Angry Mad

Oh, by the way! Done lots of research and cheapest dvd's are available at hmv at the moment in this country! Or from the usa (can even purchase all the series and films in one package).

Good luck!

I am not going to bother waiting for it to return to Uktv Gold. Their lack of response to all the pleas is disgusting. I am utterley disappointed and annoyed.

I also note that they are picky which posts they show. I reckon a lot of posts have been deleted, I know some of mine have. I have made arrangements with friends to buy whatever series are available between us. We are going to have regular girly nights in and enjoy Dallas when we want to watch it - not when Uktv Gold dictate.

Good luck all in your fight to watch Dallas!

Just a heads-up that the DALLAS Season 8 DVD is being released in the USA on 12 February 2008 and the U.K. DVD release usually follows a couple of months after the U.S. release.

Please send an e-mail to Five TV to air the complete series of DALLAS as they had the rights for several years to air it but never did. Hopefully they can air DALLAS on Five or on Five US. Five TV do respond to e-mails.

Thanks all!

Hi there all, I am so fed up myself of no one seemingly listening to us, that I have just rung UKTV. It appears they are still "trying" to get the rights to show more, but quite probably won't dig deep enough into their pockets. I've told them exactly what we all think of them. The address to write to if you want to complain (which I will), is 160 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5QA, for the attention of The Viewer Liaison Officer, UKTV Gold. Please, all Dallas Fans out there, ALL WRITE, and bombard them. I told them we're all sick of no-one being bothered to reply on the website, and also IF they manage to acquire the rights to show more, then DO NOT take it off in school hols to show blessed repeats of Doctor Who!!! I have just ordered series 7 off Amazon, but that's as far as it goes at the moment. It appears that Warner may release series 8 before Christmas, so keep looking! Good luck to you all, and PLEASE WRITE!!! Angry Cry Confused Mad

i cant believe that they've done it again to us 1000's of loyal dallas fans and countless new ones that the plug has ben pulled on what was THE greatest soap EVER! and gave us no explanation. Come on, it was the only thing worth watchin, and to say there was not enough viewers is totally BS. The best series was just starting and to offer no explanation is unforgivable. I miss my daily fix. It was the only time of day my old man got any peace (or so he says), but he watched it too. Im like a junkie who doesnt get their daily fix and i bet that im not the only one. The amount of people who were watching it and are disappointed is staggering. Seems everyone i know watched it. Does anyone else think its a ploy by uktv to get us talkin it? Angry

I have never missed one episode since it started, and to have it stopped in the middle is frustrating. It is pure nasty giving us a taste for it then to take it away. UKTV must have known it was going to be popular as it must be the best known soap ever to come out of America. There is only so many times you can re-run Eastenders and the Bill before you get sick of it. i have never been fortunate to watch Dallas from start to finish, and i thought i was in for a treat when UKTV Gold started to show it. but they have took it away from me. Please UKTV, do whatever you can but please show the rest of Dallas!
p.s. If you can please put on the film Dallas the Early Years as well, i haven't seen that for years

I fully agree - stopping the reruns shows absolute lack of consideration towards the viewers. Unbelievable. BRING BACK DALLAS

I am amazed! This must be the most active thread on UKTV! They are a bunch of charlatans and we should, as I suggested months ago, boycott ALL UKTV channels. NO WAY were there insufficient viewing figures. How gullible do you think we are? Yet another notch to their catalogue of ineptitude. How patronizing! I've had enough. Would like to continue with this campaign but they will stoop to any level to squirm out of their responsibility to their viewers. I will continue to check the thread cos there are some good folk who are genuine Dallas fans, but I know we will achieve nothing. To say the viewing figures were poor is the final insult. Get a grip. How difficult is it to air ONE show with a bit of continuety? YOU ARE HOPELESS and me and Chippy should have your jobs! Develish

Confused If UKTVG say that there were insufficient viewing figures to warrant showing more episodes of Dallas, then can they explain to me why they are showing repeats of Dr.Who? I was under the impression that Dr.Who was for children (who should be at school at that time of the day!!!)
Are we to be spoon fed childrens programmes and repeats of repeats of repeats of Casualty and The Bill? Dont get me wrong, I was an avid fan of Casualty and The Bill, but these repeats are far more recent than Dallas and I can still remember these, whilst watching Dallas was absolutely fabulous because it had been 20+ years since I had seen them, NOT 18 MONTHS!!!!

Come on people !!! Those of us who LOVE Dallas, should make our feelings known here (as many of you have I see!!). I was really looking forward to watching more episodes when half-term finished (because in my innocence I thought it had been taken off just for a week to cater for children at home!
). How wrong I was.
Disappointed, forlorne, angry of South Staffs!!!

I've been biding my time thinking common sense would prevail here. I consider myself to be a rational person who understands and takes on board management decisions but COME ON!!!!! Seriously, taking Dallas off is absolute BS, not only was it total comfort TV with a glass of wine on my return from work but it was my only revenge on my husband for all the football and moto GP I'm forced to watch. Exactly how much begging and pleading do UKTV Gold expect before they'll consider doing something about it, we're not expecting miracles but surely with this much support it would be worth considering since it seems to have destroyed so many peoples plans of doing nothing between 5 and 7pm! Please sort it out or at least for goodness sake show a little compassion and empathy for all the upset it's caused GRRRRRR

What's even more annoying is that they are starting the run again early on Sunday morning with the very first episode! What's the point if they are only going to run half the shows - they will once again leave viewers high and dry when they get to the end of what they can show. I have just given up and ordered series 6 and 7 from Amazon and I am enjoying them immensely. Series 6 is absolutely fantastic!

UKTVG - You showed Dallas in full only 5/6 years ago, why tell us now that you only have the first 4 series!?
Not only did you cancel Dallas, you also failed to tell anyone! You showed the final episode 3 times and not once did the announcer tell the viewing audience that this was the end!
Very disappointed and annoyed at UKTVG for this. Would you get away with showing the first half of a Football game and then switching to another programe at half time? No.

I was devastated as well when Dallas just disappeared!!! How can I live without my daily dose of gorgeous Bobby???? I grew up on Dallas but am loving it even more the second time around. So, does the episode on Monday 3rd September continue from when Cliff is in hospital after trying to commit suicide??? What's this next episode on at 04.25am on Sunday 4th Nov??? What's that all about????I wish this website would tell us more!!! Angry

Thanks for that DALLAS FANtastic. Smile

I ordered series 6 from Amazon less than a fortnight ago - and they've been duly e-mailed.

I think i'll e-mail Channel 5 too - nothing to lose.

I don't want to make anyone that's missing it feel worse, but the 7 episodes i've watched so far of series 6 have been excellent! I still can't believe UKTV Gold pulled Dallas! I still never got a reply to my e-mail that I sent them.

Also, if you recently bought DALLAS Season 6 DVD and within the last 30 days at the higher price of £28, you should contact amazon.co.uk and tell them about the price drop as you are entitled to a refund in the difference of the prices.

Please do e-mail Five TV about airing DALLAS. They do respond to e-mails.

Just a heads-up that the DALLAS Season 6 DVD - the season-long nasty battle for Ewing Oil between J.R. and Bobby - is one of the best seasons of DALLAS and is currently £18 on amazon.co.uk (down from £29). This is the season UKTV Gold should have continued with and should have been showing now.

That seems like a great suggestion Dallas FANtastic....

By the way, the new thing UKTV are up to now is after you type your message and try to post it you get an expiry notice which seems like you have to type your whole message again. You dont have to if this happens to you, press the back button on your browser and your message should still be there. Highlight your message and copy it. Close your browser, open again, and paste your message then send, it will go the second time and the third etc....

Crafty beggars...!

Anyway always save your message before sending.

Cheers.

See, it just happened me again, this is my second attempt...
