For G.O.L.D. "Message Pages" read "Message Boards", (or do I mean Massage Boards?)

Keep up with the plot, young Eccles. I put a link to that page on G.O.L.D. among my "Favourites" some time ago when they had the temerity to delete our pride and joy from their list of SHOWS. My irascible brother is having difficulty locating th G.O.L.D. Message Pages.

Welcome back, Grumpy Bro. You do have some PC problems. To use your words, did you ever think of throwing your torment at the naughty step? G.O.L.D. Message Boards are reachable but they are not exactly oversubscribed. The last post there was on 8th September.


Thanks for info on "Stop that Castle" C, F & C. It was about three years ago I latched on to UKTV (2006) so maybe that episode was broadcast before then

At long last I am back on board. I have been stuck since 5th September without any new posts being added. I keep getting messages that new posts have been added but when I try to access them I just get the same old message. So today I have managed to catch up. I sincerely hope they leave us here and do not transfer us to Gold, I have looked on their site and can't even access their message boards, very sub standard set up altogether.

i kno it seems farfetched bug unc but u neva kno with society towards summer wine nowadays, ur right about stop that castle but it was shown about 3 or 4 years ago on gold

It would be surely difficult to bring out something different from what has been cleared by the Board of Film Censors.


I will be livid if "Stop That Castle" is not on it. That 1992 Special is the only anticipated episode never shown by UKTV (after they unexpectedly showed "Welcome to Earth" not long ago).


Miss out the real Series #14 on DVD and UKTV miss out Series#20. The world is going to pieces!

wel big unc this new cover is worrying me, firstly i kno bbfc has passed wat we expected but the pic on the first 1 was a 92 or 93 photo but the pic there using is a 95 pic which is why its used on the 95 usa release sp maybe it is the real 15 & 16, i kno its only a pic but afta the series 9 screw up we dont kno wats goin on anymore!

I suspect that this is what the real box will look like when we get it.


I just wish Play.com would specify the episodes correctly. I have tried to correct them twice

theres a new cover for 15 & 16 on play.com, i prefered the old 1 myself and theyve got the lighting wrong like on 7&8 on there but its ok cause its a summer wine dvd.

I do not recollect 1165 but we do seem to have stuck at 1162 for quite a number of posts now.


And we haven't even been moved to G.O.L.D. yet

Are they playing with the total again?? I seem to remember 1165 earlier this week.

Here is reply from UKTV when I queried broadcast of Series #21 through #24 before they have ever transmitted Series #20:


"We don't have this series scheduled yet, but it is possible we will show it in the future. We keep a log of all requests and will pass your suggestion on to our schedulers for us to look into acquiring this series."

Worryingly, there may be something in what you say, oh venerable LOTSWFan01. That is most angst provoking. Given the extreme tardiness of DVD production it might be years before we see Series #20 again in any form.


I have tried a "Contact Us" mailing to UKTV in the hope of bringing this anomaly to their attention

I think what has happened is that UKTV have got confused because some sources list Series 19 as Series 20 so they probably think that they have already shown Series 20 and gone on to the next series.

Forum on one of sites C, F and C pointed us to is reporting that UKTV G.O.L.D. will follow Series #21 with more new to UKTV series, up to and including Series #24. The only puzzle is where Series #20 has gone?

I am trying to get Play.com to accept that their list of episodes for Series 15 & 16 (so-called) DVD is incorrect. Unsuccessful so far!

Maybe once they move us they will add us to G O L D message board list ??? Although it is difficult to see as you have to use a search term to find us at the moment !! Ithink they should change the format for the G O L D messages and do it same as ALIBI so we know where we are!! We knew this day might come we said it last year but lets hope it's not too painful.

I treat David R's announcement with a large element of trepidation. Yes, I realise that it is to G.O.L.D. we now belong. But our thread is such a brilliantly crafted creation that I would hate for anything to spoil or diminish it. As it is we know that it is no longer complete and early postings have been discarded. Even the so-called Thread-Starter is patently a later contribution by the originator.


I would be happier if G.O.L.D. treated Last of the Summer Wine with the correct level of respect. I have already decried the fact that it is no longer listed among the A-Z of G.O.L.D. shows.

I've seen all of Series 15 (16), except for the Special, on telly... and I have them on vhs. Can't wait to see the ones I haven't; so when they are available, I shall place me order!

Have sent Email to uktv advising them of this problem. They have replied that they will look into it and get back.

The link C, F & C gave us was to the British Board of Film censors website. That gave us their classification of each individual episode included on the upcoming DVD release. It confirmed what we anticipated as to the content.
