David Horton
Few men have done as much for the village of Dibley as the stately, eminent David Horton.
As well as being chairman of the Parish Council, he has selflessly contributed a great many things to the community, from the trophy for the flower show (the David Horton Cup) to the bench in the green (the David Horton Bench). He also wages a noble, tireless, one-man campaign against fun wherever he finds it.

While it was The Vicar of Dibley which made Gary Walhorn a famous face, he's actually got a rather impressive list of previous projects under his belt. In the 70s he appeared in iconic shows like The Sweeney, Space: 1999 and The New Avengers, and in 1981 he rubbed shoulders with Michael Caine, Sylvester Stallone and Pele in the so-bad-it's-great war flick Escape to Victory. And he actually walked away from the shoot with Sly Stallone's suede jacket thanks to a mix-up by the wardrobe people. Wonder if he's still got it...
