Roy Heather
He once ran the café where Del and Rodders plotted many of their most ridiculous scams, but Sid went onto take over the Nag's Head pub. Patient and affable in the face of the other characters' antics, Sid was certainly an unsung hero, and the man who brought him to life is actor Roy Heather.
Rather impressively, Roy was in the RAF before returning to civvie street and eventually turning to acting. Amateur theatre opened the doors to TV, and he was in shows like Hi-De-Hi and It Ain't Half Hot Mum when he was spotted by Only Fools producer Ray Butt. And he's been going strong ever since, more recently appearing in My Family and Doctors.
