Only Fools and Horses
Paul Barber

Paul Barber

One of the most successful and controversial musicals of the 1960s was Hair, which featured a lot of naked actors playing out an exuberant drama of hippies, conformists and very bad wigs.

And, perhaps appropriately for a man with his surname, Paul Barber began his acting career in a 70s production of Hair. He hadn't even thought of being a performer, though – he was only accompanying an actor friend to the Hair audition when he himself was signed up! Since then he's starred in Minder, Brookside, The Full Monty and, of course, Only Fools where he played the long-suffering Denzil.
