Prison Break Characters: On The Run
Theodore T-Bag Bagwell

Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell

A sadistic rapist and murderer, T-Bag Bagwell was one of the cruellest and most terrifying inmates at Fox River.

Raised by a vicious and abusive father, T-Bag was fond of torturing animals when he was a youngster. He was later convicted of trying to set fire to a teacher's house and, while serving time in juvenile detention, became involved in a white supremacist group. He did try to redeem himself at one point, having a surprisingly tender relationship with a single mother and her kids. However, she notified the police when she learnt he was wanted for murder and rape, and he embraced his dark side with renewed gusto on arriving at Fox River.

After learning of the escape plan, T-Bag threatened to inform on Michael if he wasn't included. As with the other members of the group, T-Bag was left stranded at the end of season one when the escape plane took off without them.

Played by Robert Knepper

Actor Robert Knepper’s lean and hungry look made him the ideal man to play the ruthless, calculating T-Bag. But before this love-to-hate-him role, Knepper had made his name as a top character actor by appearing in hit shows like Star Trek and The West Wing, as well as films like Young Guns and Woody Allen’s Everyone Says I Love You
Knepper has his mum to thank for his career, as it was her interest in amateur dramatics that turned him onto acting. His big and small screen success has been unexpected though, as Knepper's first love is theatre and he never imagined he’d make the transition to film and TV.
