EastEnders Bad Boys
Eastenders is reknowned for it Bad Boys, from Phil and Grant to Nick Cotton. But what about Dirty Den or even Wilmott Brown? Read on to refresh your memory about past EastEnders nasties - but who do you think should be crowned the ultimate King of Bad?
The heavies
Who needs the Krays when you've got PHIL and GRANT MITCHELL? The regularly demented Grant was once the worst of the two, but then Phil hit the bottle and became Walford's resident bogeyman. By contrast, MINTY PETERSON is a saint. Apart from his history of beating people senseless.
The wheeler dealers
Walford wouldn't be Walford without its dodgy geezers and few were as bent as GEORGE PALMER who was disgraced when his illegal 'business ventures' came to light. Just as dodgy was TRICKY DICKY COLE, who had to flee the Square after stealing £40,000 from a business partner.
The love rats
DIRTY DEN drove Angie insane with his womanising and returned to do the same to Chrissie, but let's not forget his son DENNIS RICKMAN who's loved and left just about every gal in Walford. And then there's SIMON WICKS and his brother DAVID WICKS, who took devilish delight in breaking hearts.
The accidental baddies
Poor MARTIN FOWLER. He's a nice boy really, and certainly didn't mean to smack his car into Jamie Mitchell. ASHLEY COTTON was similarly a good sort, but he unfortunately had Nick Cotton for a dad - not exactly an ideal role model. But are they bad enough?
The irredeemably evil
Let's hear it for NICK COTTON! Not content with offing Reg Cox and Eddie Royle, he even tried to poison his poor old mum. But then there's TREVOR MORGAN, the cherub-faced lunatic who was so unbearably nasty to Little Mo. And let's not forget JAMES WILLMOTT-BROWN, whose horrid attack on Kathy got him deservedly banged up.
The lovable rouges
He'd probably be an A-List baddie if he wasn't such a hapless plonker, but IAN BEALE has been pretty mean in his time. And what about PAUL TRUEMAN? He's been a softie ever since Barry's death, but was once a smug, self-centred n'er-do-well. FRANK BUTCHER broke both Peggy and Pat's hearts, but never really meant them any harm. Or did he?
The smooth criminals
He looked good, but DAN SULLIVAN was a grass, a kidnapper and a thief. In short, a real rotter. But was STEVE OWEN worse? After all, he killed Saskia Duncan and pinned it on Matthew Rose. Or perhaps you'd rather vote for ANDY HUNTER - the ruthless mob lord with a very good tailor.
