The Omid Djalili Show
Wednesdays at 11pm
British Iranian comedian Omid Djalili has always been regarded as one of the top stand-ups in the country, so when he landed his own comedy sketch show, many only had one question to ask – how come it took so long?
Djalili’s debut primetime series fuses together all his popular themes – comedic clashes of culture and taking a swipe at the British stiff upper lip.
Sketches in The Omid Djalili Show include a guide to ‘countryside survival’, the alternative period drama Pride and Racial Prejudice, Italian Iranian detective Donny Chicago, and a recurring struggling actor character who tries to impress a succession of top actresses, including Jill Halfpenny, Alison Steadman and Freema Agyeman.
