Alan, Your a garden god. Life wont be the same without you to watch on ground force.
Theres going to be a hole were you should be, telling us all how long is left and how you wont get done in time.
But you always came up trumps.
Going to miss you .
Good luck for the future. xx

Wendy,

You are a bit behind the times - Alan has been gone from Ground Force for two or possibly three series now - and for the better I think... sorry but he didn't do a lot... except moan...

I think Willy should be given far more credit - he does more work than the rest of them put together... IMHO...

I'm sorry but I don't agree, I never watch ground force now alan's not in it, he was the character and the humour, the show now has no personality what so ever.

Alan is and always will be a gardening god, I miss him, and the show definitely misses him.

I agree with Dawn but I still watch the new Ground Force - and all the repeats - I'm just addicted to gardening programmes! Alan was the anchor. I used to so admire Charlie when Alan was 'in charge' but now she gets on my nerves. She is so bossy, her voice gets louder and shriller - and whilst I'm all in favour of 'girl-power' she doesn't do any of us any favours with her attitude. Stop playing to the camera, Charlie.

Alan provides lots of great hints and tips on so many garden shows......how does he find time for his writing?I enjoy all the gardening shows.
I was hoping he could read my query about how to enclose my new woodland edge garden and keep the local planners happy till the native hedging thickens.Local vandals have to be kept off the area till it is complete....but the planners want to ok any enclosure meantime.
If Alan is too busy to answer have any of you readers got an idea? Big Grin Hug
