Hi Angie,
We'll forward your question to our expert, Sven, to see if he can shed some light on the matter. So keep an eye on this post!

Hi Angie,

How were you growing it?. Sweetcorn is wind pollinated so it has to be grown in blocks rather than in rows to be sucessful.

Also if you are growing supersweet F1 varieties do not grow a extra sweet one as the polination is likely to lead to hard corns...

Hope this helps

steve wayman ,
I have a plum tree on my allotment and I have a problem with I think some kind of fungal disease . The leaves are shrivelled but have a shiny/ glossy texture . I planted it nearly two years ago and obviously no fruit has grown from it . Could anyone please advise as to rectify the problem . I would be most grateful for any solutions . Smile

I have cucumber plants growing but they are very young maybe only a foot tall but there are cucumbers growing already. Do I take these off to allow the plant to mature a bit more or leave them alone?

Does anybody know if I can dig up a grape vine from the ground, which is about 4 to 5 years old, and plant in a container. Never had a good crop as the vine is partly hidden by other plants.
