A trained botanist and specialist in crop protection, Pippa Greenwood is one of Britain's most respected plant pathologists. She ran the Royal Hortcultural Society's Plant Pathology Department in Surrey for 11 years and now lectures on gardening throughout the world. Pippa was a regular presenter on the BBC's Gardeners' World, often from her own Organic Kitchen Garden in Hampshire. Alan Titchmarsh's prolific career both as both a writer and television presenter has made him the UK's most instantly recognisable gardening celebrity. He writes regularly for BBC Gardeners' World magazine and is a gardening correspondent for several publications. On radio and TV, he has fronted programmes as diverse as Points Of View and Songs Of Praise. For seven years, Alan was the main presenter of Gardeners' World which came from his own garden, Barleywood, which he sold in 2002. After an early career in property investment, Stephen decided on a complete change in direction and has since made a career as a garden design consultant, writer, lecturer and television presenter. He has long-been a gardening columnist for the Daily Telegraph as well as a presenter of Gardeners' World and a lecturer for The Royal Horticultural Society. He divides his time between London, his garden in North Wales and garden-visiting and lecturing across Europe, America and throughout the UK, where he teaches the importance of cultivating atmosphere in the garden through the use of scent and proper planning.Books by Stephen Lacey: His books include the classic The Startling Jungle, Colour And Scent In The Romantic Garden, Scent In Your Garden and Real Gardening.
