Mark Edwards and Chris Maton run their own landscape design and construction company in east London, working in many sectors of the landscape industry. They met in 1992 when they were students at Writtle College in Essex, having both originated from building and construction backgrounds.

After their studies, Mark went on to form his own design and construction company while Chris took a lecturing post at Writtle College. Although not working together they maintained their close friendship.

After five years of discussion (read bickering!), they eventually came together to form Musa Gardens, a garden design company. Their innovative designs have been featured in many lifestyle and garden magazines and this led them to embark on publishing their first book titled "Garden DIY Water Features" for Murdoch Books. They also recently finished their second book in the series called "Garden DIY Structures".

Chris and Mark have regularly designed and built show gardens for clients at Hampton Court Flower Show, and are in high demand from prestigious private clients in and around London and the home counties.

Their unusual brand of humour, design flair and good old-fashioned honesty, is best seen in "Water Gardens" filmed for UKTV Gardens and they have since built numerous gardens for the live TV show House Call on BBC ONE.

The team feel that their quick-fire, "think on their feet" approach to any project brings a unique energy to all their work. As a double act we hope they continue to entertain UKTV Gardens with their cocktail of humour, informative knowledge and enthusiasm.
