Tracy Crawford: Formal garden
Tracy Crawford, originally from Scotland, has relatives that live out in Australia - but it's not a Down Under style garden that Tracy wants. She loves formal English gardens and has tried to create this in her own garden. At present a nice path goes through the centre, then at the bottom of the garden it all goes horribly wrong - loads of weeds and a bit of a mess. And that's where Ross Allan comes in...

Ross's plan
The idea was to create a formal terraced garden, a very calm, serene place, with Buxus Sempervirens hedging round the outside, and two interlocking eye shapes going through the centre. Gravel on the outside - both as the main hard standing and centrally placed in the middle of the fence area - created an arbour from which Tracy can enjoy the rest of her garden.
