Wilderness Walks
Wilderness Walks
Wilderness hiker, backpacker and mountain walker Cameron McNeish hosts and accompanies outdoor enthusiasts on their walks through wild and sometimes inhospitable locations in Wilderness Walks - the series that showcases the best walks throughout the British countryside.
The series starts when Cameron hooks up with late Olympic gold medallist and conservationist Chris Brasher in the Cairngorms, and then moves on to 20 miles of tough walking that includes the highest summit in the region - Ben Macdui - and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Elsewhere in the series Cameron joins Matty McNair to take a 90-minute journey in temperatures as low as -35 degrees on Baffin Island, travels through Letterwe with aristocratic walker John Mackenzie, joins journalist and broadcaster Lesley Riddoch for a three-day journey across Macgillycuddy's Reeks in Country Kerry, and embarks on a 30-mile walk across some of Scotland's most remote peninsulas.
