Felicia (Felicia Amelloides)

Felicias have masses of attractive little blue flowers that look particularly nice potted up on a patio or terrace. The richness of the blue daisy-like flowers is very distinctive and a good starting point for designing colour combinations in the garden, or for moving around flowering potted plants for best effect.
Price: Expect to pay about £1.75-£3.50 for a good plant.

Felicias, also known as Blue Daisies, belong to the daisy family. When you have a good performing plant it will flower in abundance and stay in flower throughout the summer, so long as you keep encouraging growth by dead-heading and watering.

Not only is it useful on a patio, veranda or window box, but it's also a handy addition to a hanging basket. These Blue Daisies are easy to grow from seed. The plants are wind-resistant and can be used in exposed bedding areas.

Looking Good:
Look out for Felicias in among the red-hot Gazanias in any typical Mediterranean garden, for instance on Tresco in the Isles of Scilly during August.

Best With:
Other low-growing plants, such as pink Phloxes.
