Originally from Belfast, Kathy Boyd moved to Glasgow in 1991 and has lived in her current property since May 2001 with her two-year-old son, Luke. Kathy works as a doctor at a local training practice and is looking for a GP partnership job, which will inevitably mean moving to another area of Glasgow. Kathy is hoping to put her house on the market in April. Her ideal house would be a three-bedroom house in Shawlands but as yet, Kathy has been unable to find anything in the area which meets her requirements.

The property was built around 1980 and is a two-bedroom semi-detached house in a residential estate. Kathy bought her house for £68,000 in 1991 and though it has recently been valued at £90,000, the current market is so good that Kathy is hoping to get £95,000 for it.

Working as a doctor is very demanding and with a two-year-old son, Kathy has not been able to do anything to the garden since she bought the property. She would particularly like to tidy up the back garden and create a nice grass area to enjoy in the summer months.
