Weed It & Reap
Weed It & Reap - Bearsden, Scotland 2
The Weed It & Reap team are in the leafy green suburb of Bearsden, where they tackle a back garden that's a blank canvas just waiting to be filled...
Having only been in their house for nine months, Aileen and Douglas Kirk have decided that it is not really big enough for a family of four. They like living in Bearsden as it is great for schools for the kids and the bus/train links are fantastic, so ideally they would like a bigger house in the same area.
The couple's three-bedroom detached house is situated in a quiet, leafy street. They originally paid £90,000 for it and although they have not yet had it valued, they expect to get £110,000 for it when it's sold.
Aileen and Douglas have been solely concentrating on renovating the interior of the house. Now that the renovations are finally coming to an end, they realise that the garden is a major project and need some help. Douglas did have plans to create a larger driveway and bought the bricks but has not done anything to them.

Hi Bruce,
You could talk this over with an estate agent but a lovely garden can add about 15% to the value of a house whilst a bad one can reduce it by a similar amount.
Also a house with a lovely garden is far easier to sale than one with a weed patch.
Angela
P.S. I dont think £ 3,250 is a bad return for a days work... - Something to say? Add a comment...
