It's Not Easy Being Green
With his wife Brigit and their two grown-up children, James and Charlotte, Dick Strawbridge (The Re-Inventors, Scrapheap Challenge) sets out on a mission to reduce the amount of natural resources required to support their lifestyle and improve the family's eco footprint.
Step one - the family decamps from a comfortable life in the suburban Malverns to a dilapidated house in Cornwall for a taste of the 'Good Life'. They learn how to grow most of their own vegetables, as well as taking on several pigs and some chickens!
We follow their progress as they embrace this greener lifestyle which even includes building a water wheel to power the lights in the house, wind turbines to run their fridge and freezer and water heated by solar power.
Tune in to find out how they did it and exactly how being green has turned their lives around.
